How Much do Surrogates get Paid?

• BASE COMPENSATION: $55,000-$100,000+ DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE/LOCATION/MEDICAL RECORDS. FOR APPLICANTS BEGINNING 1/1/2026, THIS IS PAID OUT IN 8 INSTALLMENTS FROM CONFIRMATION OF HEARTBEAT (minimum monthly payment = $6,875 for first-time surrogates).

• MEDICAL CLEARANCE BONUS & LEGAL CLEARANCE BONUS

• NON-ACCOUNTABLE MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: paid monthly from legal clearance to 1 month post-delivery.

• MEDICATION START BONUS: paid upon starting embryo transfer cycle medications.

• EMBRYO TRANSFER BONUA: paid per embryo transfer procedure surrogate undergoes.

• FETAL HEARTBEAT CONFIRMATION BONUS: paid once surrogate is confirmed pregnant by heartbeat at ultrasound.

• MATERNITY CLOTHING ALLOWANCE: paid in a lump sum upon reaching 12 weeks of pregnancy.

• NON-ACCOUNTABLE HOUSEKEEPING ALLOWANCE: paid during the third trimester.

• PREGNANCY WELLNESS/NUTRITION ALLOWANCE **at Intended Parents' discretion, paid if they request specific diet, exercise program, meal subscriptions, etc.**

• HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY FOR 12 MONTHS MINIMUM (if candidate does not have health insurance. If you have existing insurance which can be used for your pregnancy care during your journey, your premiums may be reimbursed during the pregnancy.)

• ACCIDENTAL DEATH & LOSS OF REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS INSURANCE POLICY WITH $500,000 BENEFIT.

• SURROGACY-RELATED LOST WAGES: paid for missing work due to cycle appointments.  Lost wages generally are not paid for regular OB appointments.

• MILESTONE GIFTS - from your agency! At embryo transfer, mid-pregnancy and postpartum.
